F-104G Starfighter Cockpit

F-104G Starfighter savas uçagı tarihte bilinen en ünlü uzun mesafe avcı uçaklarındandır. Bu savas uçagının hikayesi 1950’lerin ortasında basladı ve 2000’li yılların ortasına kadar devam etti. Ince formlu gövde yapısı ve ufak yüzeyli kanat yapısıyla benzersiz bir görünümü olan bu uçagı essiz bir avcı uçagına olmasını sagladı. General Electric’in J79-GE-11A tipi turbo jet motorunun güç verdigi uçak Mach 2,2 hızını asabilmekte ve dikey uçuslarda basarılı olmaktadır. Starfighter uçagının kokpit modeli 50’li ve 60’lı yılların Nato pilotlarının evi niteligindeydi. Döneminin tipik kokpit aksesuar ve özelliklerine sahip olan modelin aynı zamanda Martin Baker’ın tasarladıgı fırlatma koltugu’da bu tip uçakların donanımlarındandı.
 
 
The F-104G Starfighter is one of the most renowned fighters in aviation history and also the one with the longest operational service. Its history began at the end of the ‘50s and ended with some air forces in the mid-2000s. Its unique airframe, with slender fuselage and very little wing surface, made this aircraft ideal in an interceptor role. Due to the thrust of its General Electric J79-GE-11A afterburning turbojet engine it could exceed Mach 2,2 with a first class rate of climb.“Starfighter” cockpit model has a the typical internal layout of the ‘50s and ‘60s fighters, which was ‘home’ to many former NATO pilots. The fine detail of the instrument panel typical of the period, is matched by the highly accurate reproduction of the Martin-Baker ejection seat.
